Can I install water-based underfloor heating myself?
Whilst our underfloor heating systems can be installed by those competent in DIY, you will need to ensure you have the proper tools for correct installation. Without these, your system may not work efficiently and could result in issues such as leaks.
Please note that you should not attempt to set up the manifold or run it back to the boiler yourself unless you are a registered plumber.
Can I install electric underfloor heating myself?
If you are competent in DIY you may be able to lay the groundwork for electric underfloor heating yourself, providing you have the correct tools. You will however need to enlist the help of a registered electrician to make the final connections. Never attempt this yourself.
Why do I need specific underfloor heating tools?
The pipework is one of the most common problems with underfloor heating. This can lead to leaks or blockages. Having the correct tools for the job can help to reduce the risk of incorrect installation, ensuring that the pipes are correctly cut and calibrated for maximum efficiency.
