Underfloor Heating Manifolds
Underfloor heating manifolds are the hub of any underfloor heating (UFH) system. They control the distribution of water under the floor and connect the pipework to the heat source. Underfloor heating manifolds control the zones in your heating system, allowing individual rooms to be heated to a set temperature, ideal for multi-zone UFH installations.
Our range of underfloor heating manifolds are the ideal solution for water-based UFH systems. Made from quality stainless steel, they are available in 2 - 12 ports, depending on your requirements. Each manifold can support 110 metres of pipe and are therefore suitable for small and large heating systems.
We also stock an extensive range of spares and parts, including connectors, ball valves and adapters, providing everything you need to complete your UFH installation.
How does an underfloor heating manifold work?
Underfloor heating manifolds work by distributing warm water to each zone. Generally, a zone refers to an individual room that is controlled by its own thermostat. Manifolds connect the heating pipework to the heat source, which can be a boiler, heat pump, or another source of heat. The manifold circulates the water from the heat source into the pipes while regulating the pressure, flow rate, and water temperature. Manifolds play a crucial role in keeping the water in your UFH system balanced, and this ensures that an even and comfortable heat is maintained across the floor.
Manifolds control multiple circuits within a zone and can warm different rooms at varying times, via the use of a programmable thermostat. The ability to regulate the temperature in each room allows for a more efficient use of heat. You save money on your energy bills by not heating a space that isn't in use.
Help with choosing the right manifold
Choosing the right manifold will help your underfloor heating system perform at its best and last for years to come. The right model for your project will depend on the size of your system and how many circuits and zones you require.

Do I need a manifold for underfloor heating?
Most underfloor heating systems require a manifold. Manifolds are the heart of a system, where the water is mixed and distributed to the pipes at the correct temperature.
Where should the underfloor heating manifold be placed?
For optimal performance, underfloor heating manifolds should be positioned centrally in the property. By doing this, the minimum length of pipe can be used, which helps to keep water temperatures consistent. When underfloor heating is being installed over a large area, multiple manifolds may be needed.
Does the manifold need to be close to a boiler?
An underfloor heating manifold doesn't need to be in the same room as a boiler or heat source. In fact, it is better placed in the room where the UFH system is to be fitted. If possible, situate the manifold centrally within the zones for a multi-room installation, or somewhere close by for a single room installation.
